Our soft, luxurious, hotel-style linen complements our 1,500 pocket-sprung mattress with a warm tog duvet, next to a handy bedside table with sockets and USB ports.
Each studio has ample storage for those longer stays, including a large wardrobe and under-bed storage. Large windows illuminate the lounge area with minimalist features and elegant finishes. Enjoy wall-mounted radiator heating, modern blinds, and double-insulated windows for heat and noise retention.
All studio apartments have been built with the latest soundproofing technology, ensuring a comfortable and quiet night’s stay. Our lower ground floor studios offer options for those preferring a darker room – ideal for those working a night shift.

We welcome business and leisure guests alike at City Studios, whether you are visiting Preston in a professional capacity or for pleasure.
City Studios is ideal for individuals and couples, as well as groups of professionals who can book their own studios within close proximity of one another.
While still welcome, regretably we cannot offer any family rooms at City Studios. All our studios have a maximum capacity of 2 guests per room.
There is a bus stop directly outside City Studios with buses operating every 5 minutes, taking you into the heart of Preston.
Alternatively, the bus and train stations can be walked to in under 15 minutes at less than a mile from City Studios.
You will have been sent instructions on how to complete the online Check In prior to your arrival and once completed you will be sent your Smart Keys to your phone via the Paxton App. This means you can arrive any time after 3pm to Check In to your room. When you arrive please access using the main gate via North Street, and the main accommodation building is directly infront of you when you arrive.

There are many convenience stores within a 2-minute walk of City Studios, including Tesco Express on Moor Lane.

There are larger supermarkets nearby, including Iceland on North Road, which is a 7-minute walk.

Being close to the UCLan campus means there is a wide range of tasty takeaways around, including on Moor Lane! You can also order from your favourite delivery service, which all operate in Preston.

Post Office
The nearest post office is 0.3 miles away, on Plungington Rd – a walk of under 10 minutes.
Chemist/Pharmacy
Another 50 metres further along Plungington Road, you’ll find the closest chemist.
While we don’t have a restaurant on-site, we offer refreshments in the shared spaces within the historic Unicorn section of the building on arrival and in your room when you check in.
The Moorbrook Pub is ideally located next door to City Studios and offers a variety of food options.
And of course, every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen.
Food delivery companies are welcome to deliver to City Studios, and the drop-off point is at the rear of the property.
